BOB THE PRAWN - BY AEDAN SMART

Featuring themes of diversity, marine conservation and storylines that promote a love of reading, Bob the Prawn has quickly become a firm favourite with young fans.

Originally starting life out as a Year 4 school speech at Omokoroa No.1 Primary School in the Western Bay of Plenty, Bob the Prawn has been adapted with assistance from professional editors. However, much of the original speech and characters still remain. The story has been translated with beautiful visuals into a bright and colourful underwater themed book that children will love.

Written in 2020 when author Aedan Smart was eight years old, the speech was a firm favourite with fellow classmates and eventually took its creator through to the finals. Aedan sold out his first print run of 200 copies in 2021 and can proudly call himself a self-made publisher. 

Bob the Prawn is a fun 34 page book perfect for children up to the ages of 7/8. Colouring-in templates can also be downloaded from the Facebook page @bobtheprawn.
